The atmosphere was excellent. My husband and I chose to sit outside and watched as the children fed the ducks, until I'll food was ready. Customers were also starting the beginning of the kyak trips. Note that the seating outside is limited. There are about eight tables.Alejandra suggested the shredded chicken quesadilla. I must admit that it was good, but not a 5 star dish. The fried flour tortilla was soggy and the jalapeños were cooked vs the fresh crunch of raw jalapeños. The munster cheese wasn't distributed evenly. Only one of the four pieces had munster cheese. It was odd to be charged for the chip salsa. Usually chips and salsa are a no charge. My husband was very happy with his quesabirria tacos. Best tacos he's had in a long time. He raved about them to his friends. He had no complaints about the stake taco either.Refills on fountain drinks and tea were no extra charge.Next time I'll order the enchiladas.
This is an awesome taco stand! It is in a great location by the water and has an outdoor area that is second to none for views. The food definitely delivers the goods when it comes to taste and value for your dollar. If you leave this place hungry that's definitely on you. Me and my wife have been exploring different tacos places and this one far exceeded our expectations. The flavors and atmosphere blend to make a great combo for the eatery. I ordered two street tacos (Steak) and my wife have a quesadilla. Both had a fair amount of meat which was flavored just right and the cilantro and onion on the taco wasn't over powering. The street corn was definitely a delicious side to it all. I can see why this place was busy. Even with it being busy it didn't take long for our food and staffing was very pleasant and easy on the eyes. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. I'd say give your taste buds a treat. You won't be disappointed nor will you be hungry!
This place is next level. A slight bit more expensive than most places but ALOT better tacos. I've reviewed tacos from Miami to Detroit out to LA and Atwater without a doubt is the top of my list. Not gonna lie, I bought a house 3 miles away just for the tacos here.
My wife and I found ourselves Downriver, and of course we were hungry.Oh, look, Atwater Street Tacos!Walking into there place reminded me of a hip / industrial cantina with a dining room and a covered, heated patio with windows to view Huron River. So we sat there for our meal.We started with a nacho chip flight that came with four dipping sauces; two hot and two cold.I got a street taco al pastor, which was nothing short of amazing! For my main entrees, I ordered the Big Ole Burrito filled with Carne Asada, rice, cheese, beans and mucho more goodness. The Elote Mexican street corn is difficult to describe. It's spicy, sweet, sour, cheesey, and delicious. Need more!
Atwater Street Tacos is a hidden gem for taco enthusiasts. The taco lunch, complete with refried beans and cilantro rice, is a culinary delight. The flavors are authentic, the ingredients fresh, and the presentation impeccable. The attention to detail sets this restaurant apart, making every bite a savory experience. The ambiance is vibrant, creating a welcoming atmosphere. From the first warm tortilla to the last satisfying spoonful of cilantro rice, Atwater Street Tacos earns a well-deserved five stars for delivering a truly exceptional dining experience.
My brother Sam told me bout this place, I've been coming here almost every Saturday, this is by far one of the best Mexican spots around. I've tried a majority of their food and it's all fire, definitely recommend them
Average atmosphere & service. Food was fresh. Didn’t like the chips and salsa which chips were bland and salsa reminded me more of a pizza sauce which is super disappointing. Tostada was yummy however they forgot the cheese and loaded it with sour cream covering up the other flavors.
The foot at Atwater is very good.I put service at 3 stars not because it's bad at all, it's just set up to be an order at the counter kind of place so there's not much to 'service' in general. If it's not too cold it's nice to sit on the (heated and enclosed) patio and watch the water from the Huron River down the bank.
What a great find! Just a few short steps from the Flat Rock Festival! Nice, attentive staff. Menu and food tasted phenomenal! Got the modifications to order perfect. The place is so clean. Nice variety of fountain drinks and drinks in general. The picture is of the ensalada with chicken and dressing in the side no tortilla strips and fried ice cream! They had high chairs for the kiddos. Definitely will be coming back!
I ate here for the first time recently and will absolutely return! I had the Refried Bean Tostadas and they were incredible! Matter of fact, by the time I realized I had not taken a photo, I was already done with them. My husband had the Big Ole Burrito and I did get a pic of that and of course I also took a bite. I completely understand why its a popular choice. The flavors are very well done and not overly salty at all for either of our meals. I love the chipotle flare that they instill in the seasonings and the aioli. The only thing I regret is not getting one of the loaded fries. They have a Cajun Shrimp Fries, Fajita Fries and Atwater Street Fries on the menu. The table next to us ordered the Cajun Shrimp Fries and OH MY.... they looked incredible!!!I will recommend this adorable little taco place to everyone !
This is my favorite place to eat. I love the steak fajita Bowl.❤ Everyone is always so nice. Great customer service. I love that you can also eat at the tables outside right next to the water. There is a lot of ducks walking around in the area to. Their food is very Yummy?☺
I finally decided to eat here and it was definitely worth it! The quesabirria tacos with consume are so delicious. I will definitely be back to try more of their menu. It's location is perfect. The river is nice and the park nearby is also awesome! The flavor of my food was on point, service was good, bathrooms were clean. If you haven't stopped here what are you waiting for?
